You’ve likely been tracking the global response to Covid-19 as a church leader or pastor. We hope most of you don’t have to cancel gatherings! The lost momentum, especially for Easter–wow, what a heartache! Be in conversation with your church leaders, state and local heath officials about the decision.
However, we do recommend a few tools or ideas that might help those who do suspend gatherings…
Interactive, Online, Customizable Worship Experience
We (Multipliciter) were able to reconfigure the tools with one of our partners created in our network of microchurches to help you empower your own people to meet online in an interactive way. This would be particularly helpful for churches without a robust online community already formed, and it is much more engaging than just watching a live-stream or video or even a chat feature on social media like Facebook Live. You can see the resource here. It varies from plug-n-play options to a blank slate to build your own experience.
Many churches have a well-developed online strategy. But many churches need simple and easy ways to engage.

Here are 4 simple ways you can help keep people connected using social media:
- Host a live service or prayer time for your church and local community using Facebook Live.
- Post credible resources to help people deal with anxiety, illness and isolation.
- Get the free YouVersion Bible APP on your phone. Invite people to join you to study the Bible and pray online.
- Assemble an online team of people to stay in touch as a congregation and those most isolated through telephone, Facebook messenger, IG, or WhatsAPP.

Pastors and church leaders, it’s time to reach the world.
We know that ‘church’ isn’t just a building. It’s the ministry we do every day in every way. And nothing can stop us from sharing the love of Jesus with a hurting world.
As the global Church, we have technology at our fingertips to do online ministry, too—whether through the Church Online Platform, YouTube Live, Facebook, or another tool.
And we are here to support you any way we can for whatever your unique ministry looks like.
First, if you’re considering taking your church community online, start with the platform used by thousands of churches, the free Church Online Platform.
Stadia has curated a great list of resources that you might find helpful as well!
Praying with you for kingdom impact during this season.
